Introduction to World Book Day
Join in with Mrs Khatoon's lesson for an introduction to World Book Day!
Then go on a story hunt using books from home and clues from your grown up.
Choose one story to draw your favourite part.
To continue celebrating World Book Day, firstly join in with Mrs Khatoon's reading lesson, then listen to the story 'The Way Back Home' by Oliver Jeffers using the video below.
The boy in the story meets a Martian. What would you do if you got stuck on the moon with a Martian?
We are going to become Space explorers, join in with Mrs Khatoon's lesson to read some rocket facts using information books!
Then read the rocket captions in your Literacy learning pack to create your own Space book about rockets! You could draw pictures or write some information about rockets inside your book.
Make story time really cosy by dimming the lights and gathering blankets and cushions to create a reading den! Add teddies and fairy lights and share a story book together.
If you would like to choose a new story, you can use the link below to find lots of exciting books!
