Hucklow Cocoon caters for twelve of our 30 learners. There are currently children from Y2 to Y6 within the provision base. Children are supported to access mainstream learning alongside adults from the base where appropriate. The amount of time spent in mainstream for each child is planned on an individual basis using the child’s strengths as a driver. Hucklow’s site is the biggest of our resource bases. There is a quiet corridor outside of the main teaching space used for 1:1 and small group working as well as direct access to our purpose-built sensory room. Hucklow has a full kitchen area incorporated into the provision base as well as a large covered outside area which can be accessed straight from the main classroom.
