Pupil Voice

At Hucklow Primary school, we respect and value the fundamental British values of democracy and encourage all members of our school to voice their opinions and ideas.

In September, all pupils are invited to stand as representatives and are voted for fairly and democratically by their peers. Each class elects a School Council Representative to form the Pupil Voice of the school.

Our School Council meet every fortnight to discuss issues raised by the children and ideas to help improve our school. Over the year the School Council have particular improvement priorities which are linked to the School Development Plan as well as feedback for parent and pupil voice surveys. Each class has a School Council suggestion box for children to post ideas and feedback- these are then discussed at the meetings.

If you have any ideas or suggestions to help improve our school, please see your class School Council Representative, who will bring your suggestions to the next meeting.

“Our vision is to provide an excellent primary education that gives our children the very best chance of succeeding in life.”
