Nursery Admissions
At Hucklow Primary we admit children annually on a part time basis into our nursery. Our admission count is 120 Funded Early Learning sessions. You can view further information regarding this here.
For a September start date places are offered to children who have turned 3 before 31st August.
Children eligible for 2 year FEL provision are required to provide an eligibility code number and must have reached their 2nd birthday prior to admission.
Reception Admissions
School places are allocated annually by the Local Authority for all children aged 4 years by September 1st.
Parents are required to apply directly to the Primary Admissions Team in the Autumn term prior to their child’s 4th birthday.
School Admissions
At Hucklow we follow the Local Authority Admissions Policy for all pupils.
School has a standard pupil count of 60 children per year group. If the year group is oversubscribed the Local Authority’s oversubscription criteria, found in the Parent Primary School Admissions Guide outlines the priorities for admissions.
Please note that we cannot guarantee your child will be accepted into our Reception year group even if they have attended Hucklow Nursery.
The LA is the admissions authority. All admissions into Hucklow are administered by the Pupil Admissions Team, you can find their contact details here.
If your application for a place at Hucklow Primary School is unsuccessful, parents have a right of appeal. The Admissions Working Party, an impartial tribunal, hears appeals; their decision is final.
In Year School Admissions
If you would like your child to transfer to Hucklow Primary from their current allocated school you are required to complete a Common Transfer Form, these are available from your current school.
The current school must complete Section 2 and submit the application to the Local Authority Admissions Team.
