A warm welcome to Year 6!

We are extremely proud of how our Year 6 children have settled into the new school year this academic year. This year is your child’s last year and Primary School and we aim to give them the best possible ending to their Primary School life.

In Reading we are studying Goodnight Mr. Tom by Michelle Magorian where we discover what life is like for evacuated children during the war and finding out a little bit about village life during World War 2. 

This year in our curriculum topics your child will learn:

  • All about life in World War 2
  • Mexico – Geographic features and life in Mexico
  • The Ancient Maya

In Computing we will look at Spreadsheets and Coding.

Year 3 – Year 6 will continue to learn Spanish with Miss Kachra our deisgnated MFL teacher.
