Attendance

At Hucklow we believe that children’s attendance is important to helping them achieve their best potential. Hucklow monitors attendance daily, weekly and termly. If we are concerned that a pupils’ attendance is falling below an acceptable level, you will contacted by the school’s attendance team via telephone call or letter. At Hucklow we believe in strong partnership working and we encourage you to discuss your child’s attendance/absence with us so that we can explore ways to support you and your child. School works closely with the local authority attendance and inclusion service. School follows the Department for Education ‘Working together to improve school attendance’ guidance.

If your child is unable to attend school you must contact the school office between the hours of 8 and 8.30am or 9 to 9.30am.

Our school attendance target is 98%.
