Science
Science is the study of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment, and at Hucklow, we want our science teaching to give all of our students a strong understanding of the world around them. Throughout their school journey, pupils will learn how to work scientifically which will enable them to better understand the scientific processes, concepts and knowledge outlined in the National Curriculum. Additional to this, we want our pupils to recognise the role that science has played in the development of the world they live in, and the role that it has in determining the future, for it is science that will find solutions for slowing down the negative impact of climate change; a way for astronauts to visit Mars; cures for illness; and so much more.
“The important thing is to never stop questioning”
