Integrated Resource at Hucklow

We are lucky enough to have a 12 place integrated resource at Hucklow. Our classroom is called ‘The Cocoon’. Within The Cocoon our main focus is Communication and Interaction and everything we do promotes the use of this. 

We offer a bespoke education and we tailor the learning and provision to the needs of each individual child. Within the Integrated Resource we use SCERTs (Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Transactional Supports) throughout our curriculum to encourage communication, self-regulation and to improve attention and organisational skills.  Alongside our academic curriculum, we also teach children important life skills lessons to promote independence.
