Online Safety
With children spending more time on the internet and using apps, it is important to know how to stay safe on online and to talk to your children about what to do if they have any worries or concerns. For parental information we use a wide range of resources from sites such as Internet Matters, BBC Online Safety or CEOP – ThinkUKnow for Parents. Please click on the information provided.
For teaching points around online safety, Hucklow Primary School uses Project Evolve Lessons, CEOP ThinkuKnow and Purple Mash. We also take part in Safer Internet Day which is run through the Safer Internet Centre and held annually every February with a different theme each year. The theme for 2025 is ‘Too good to be true? Protecting yourself and others from online scams’
